Today may just have been one of my best workouts ever! I was assigned the big boy group again :), consisting of 5x1500 meters in 4:27 (4:44ish mile pace), with 500 meters of rest (usually 2:00 mins). We did the workout on the football practice fields at 6:30 am, so it was nice and cool - no worrying about heat! The first one hurt, mainly since it was a "shock" to hit that pace for a sustained time, but after this, I just got in a groove and cruised. The fastest I hit was 4:26, while the slowest I hit was 4:29. As far as "hurt" is concerned, it felt the exact same as our last 1500 workout (where I did 4:34's to 4:35's on average), so I am making some improvements! Most importantly, I am pleased to be feeling well after last week. This weekend we have a race, so I am going to rest up for the next three days. Feelin' good!

Great workout. I just finished reading "Running with the Buffalos"...man Coach Wetmore works you guys hard, but it pays off. You all are animals. Good luck this season running with the big boys!

Congrats on the great workout! It is great to see the progress from one workout to the next, isn't it! Which race are you doing this weekend?
